Once again, I'm bringing you some exciting news about our Seasoned Kit Spotlight. This time around, I wanted to point your attention at Read All Over, a classy, gorgeous kit that inspires images of books, reading, love, or vampires... or maybe all of the above.

The great news is that Read All Over is on sale in Elise's store for 40%, down from $3 to just $1.80. Head on over to Elise's Pieces's store to snatch up the beautiful kit now... and pick up some of Elise's other high-quality kits on sale while you're over there.

The better news is, after the store-wide sale ends today, the sale on Read All Over has been extended through Thursday! So you have time to buy the kit today, and then spread the news around to friends and family, so they have time to buy this classy collection, too!

And just so you realize how versatile this kit truly is, Elise's CT has whipped up a few new layouts to share with you. Enjoy the inspiration!

CT Spotlight: Abish

>> Tuesday, November 23, 2010

It is my pleasure to begin posting the creative team spotlight blog entries for Elise, and to start with a wonderful team member, Abish. I met Abish as a designer a few years back, but it's been so inspirational to share a creative team with her instead. I'm sure you'll enjoy learning about her life and seeing some of her pages below.

1. Tell me a little bit about yourself.

I’ve been married for 8 years and I’m a SAHM to two great and full of energy little girls. I speak English as well as Spanish and would love to learn Portuguese someday. Among the things I like doing are reading, watch movies, scrapbook, and bake.

2. How long have you been digital scrapbooking?

I discovered digital scrapbooking back in 2007 and I have to say that it’s been so much fun!

3. What are your favorite types of products to work with?

I love templates! For me they provide a great starting point and also add variety to my layouts.

4. How would you describe your scrapbooking style?

I'm not sure in which style category I fit in. I love papers with bold patterns as well as papers with softer designs. The more realistic the elements the more I like them. I tend to do layouts with a lot of white space. Sometimes I like lots of things on a layout and other times just a few are fine. So if you know of a style that would include those things, let me know, :)

5. Random question: What is your favorite game?

My favorite game is Farmville, it’s fun to play with my family even though we are far apart we still get to do something together.

Autumn Spice!

>> Monday, November 15, 2010

Hi, there. It's Debbie, Elise's other guest on this blog, and I post each Tuesday. Every other week, I'll be telling you about a special deal you can cash in on to get some of Elise's tried-and-true kits for 40% off! What a great deal! You'll have to stay focused, though; these discounts only last one day - Tuesday - and then they'll be gone.

Without further ado, our first Seasoned Kit Spotlight is on the Autumn Spice Designer Kit, a collaboration between Elise's Pieces Designs and Madame Wing Designs. Isn't it gorgeous?

Our creative team was inspired by the rich color palette in Autumn Spice, so they cooked up a brand new offering of layouts (and a hybrid card!) to show you everything it has to offer. Be sure to peek in the store for more pages using this kit!

CT Spotlight-- Debbie!

>> Tuesday, November 9, 2010

It's been so long since I've done a CT Spotlight, but it's time to bring it back!  This is a special one because today we're spotlighting Debbie, one of the leaders on my Creative Team.  Debbie has been working with my designs since the very beginning-- she was actually on the site Creative Team at my very first digi shop.  Now, she's on my personal team and she does an awesome job!  Let's get to know Debbie!

1.  Tell us a little bit about you!

I've been married to my high school sweetheart for over 10 years, and we have two kids who keep me moving.  I teach full-time as a high school English and reading teacher, so there are both frustrations and celebrations every day on the job.  I like to volunteer, so I'm adviser to my school's Key Club and assistant leader in my daughter's Girl Scout troop.  When I'm not doing all of that, I like to scrapbook, read, sing songs in Rock Band, play board and card games, and cook.

2.  How long have you been digital scrapping?

I've been scrapbooking since 1998, but I made the switch to full-on digital in 2007 when my son was born.  I was able to get more scrapbooking done if all I had to do was turn on my computer.

3.  What are your favorite types of products to work with?

Since I created scrapbooks with paper and such before, I generally like traditional products, but I don't mind pushing myself to do collage/art-journal pages or more 3-D compositions every so often.  My major project right now is scrapbooking all my 2009 Project 365 photos, so I use a lot of kits that have bright, versatile colors and items.

4.  How would you describe your scrapping style?

Left without a template, I'm mostly a geometric scrapbooker, making everything very squared off.  I like a clean page, with not a lot of clutter, but I also try to fill up at least half the page with photos, journaling, and embellishments.  Since I'm a writer by habit and English teacher by trade, the majority of my pages have at least some journaling.

5.  Random Question:  What is your favorite animal?

For years, my favorite animals were turtles; I even adopted it as my camp name when I was a day camp counselor.  Lately, I've been more aware of monkeys, though, because one of my pet names for my son is "Little Monkey."

Here are some of Debbie's favorite layouts:

Debbie has a fantastic gallery here-- check it out for some gorgeous layout inspiration!  Thanks Debbie!

I also wanted to introduce my *huge* new creative team!  Oh my-- we've got a lot of people, but it should be fun.  Be sure to come back later this week to see what they've done with my latest release.  Ooh, fun!
